Rishabh Pant suffered an unfortunate accident at the beginning of this year and missed the entirety of IPL 2023 and the ODI World Cup.
However, Saurav Ganguly, the Director of Cricket for Delhi Capitals has confirmed that Rishabh Pant will return as the captain of the team in IPL 2024.
Ganguly also said that the team management is hopeful of Pant’s return despite him undergoing knee surgery and ligament repairs.

But the question is whether Rishabh Pant will keep wickets or not in the IPL 2024. At the moment it seems that Rishabh Pant will solely play as a batter in the upcoming edition of IPL to not rush his recovery.
The official confirmation regarding the same is expected to come before the start of IPL 2024. Delhi Capitals has released both of its wicketkeepers, Phil Salt and Sarfaraz Khan besides Rishabh Pant.
