Hailing from Meerut, the 20-year-old right-handed batsman, Sameer Rizvi, is a key player for Uttar Pradesh in domestic tournaments. Making his First-Class debut in 2020, he has participated in two Ranji Trophy matches. Notably, Rizvi entered the T20 arena during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022, impressively accumulating 295 runs with a strike rate of 134.70. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023, he stood out as Uttar Pradesh’s top run-scorer, amassing 277 runs in just seven innings.
Rizvi’s prominence grew in the UP T20 League, where he claimed the top run-scorer title with an impressive 455 runs in nine innings. Renowned for his powerful hitting, he led in sixes for his team, Kanpur Superstars, recording two centuries and contributing a crucial 84 runs from 50 balls in the final, ultimately securing victory.
