Saud Shakeel, born on September 5, 1995, is a notable Pakistani cricketer. His international journey began with his ODI debut for the Pakistan cricket team in July 2021. Later, he made his Test debut against England in December 2022, showcasing his prowess in the longest format of the game.
Saud Shakeel’s cricketing talent was evident early on when he was part of Pakistan’s squad at the 2014 U-19 World Cup, even captaining the team. During this tournament, he contributed 127 runs in the six innings he played.
One of his most remarkable achievements came in July 2023 when he became the first Pakistani batsman to score a Test double century, achieving this milestone while playing against Sri Lanka on their home turf.

Saud Shakeel, born in September 1995 in Karachi, spent a significant part of his early life in the Sagheer Centre of the Federal B. Area.
In 2007, Saud came to the attention of Azam Khan, who was the manager of Quetta Gladiators and not related to Moin Khan’s son. Azam, with a connection to Saud’s uncle, introduced him to various cricket academies when Saud was just a sixth-grade student at The Crescent Academy. However, the response from these academies was lukewarm.

Azam Khan then took the initiative to include Saud in practice sessions where he faced players of the caliber of Rumman Raees, Anwar Ali, and Tabish Khan. This experience eventually led to Saud’s association with the Pakistan Cricket Club, where he received mentorship from international cricketers like Sarfaraz Ahmed and Asad Shafiq.
