On Wednesday, September 20, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed SBI Life as the Official Partner for the 2023-26 cricket season, encompassing both domestic and international cricket.
SBI Life Insurance Company Limited, an Indian life insurance firm established in March 2001, initially started as a joint venture between the State Bank of India (SBI) and the French financial institution BNP Paribas Cardif. Currently, SBI holds a majority stake of 55.50% in the company.
This three-year partnership agreement between SBI Life and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will commence with the upcoming three-match ODI series between India and Australia, leading up to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
Following Team India’s victory in the Asia Cup 2023, their next challenge awaits against Australia. The ODI series will commence on September 22 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, Chandigarh, followed by the second ODI at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on September 24. The series will conclude with the third and final match at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on September 27.
BCCI President Roger Binny expressed his excitement about the partnership, saying, “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with SBI Life as the official partner of BCCI for both domestic and international cricket. SBI Life has been one of the torchbearers in the insurance sector, and we are looking to build a solid partnership to take Indian cricket forward.”

Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary, welcomed the three-year collaboration with SBI Life, especially ahead of the World Cup taking place in India.
