Shubman Gill Excited to Face Australia in ICC World Test Championship Final

Indian opener confident with 10-day preparation time before the big match at The Oval, London

Indian opener Shubman Gill is eagerly looking forward to the ICC World Test Championship final against Australia, set to take place from June 7 at The Oval in London. The young batsman has been in impressive form in the current IPL 2023, leading Gujarat Titans in run-scoring with 339 runs at an average of 37.66 and a 140.66 strike rate.

Gill’s excellent form extends to international cricket, where he has scored hundreds in each of the game’s three formats this year alone. His recent performances bode well for India’s chances in the upcoming final, where they will look to upset the formidable Australian team.

Speaking about the final, Gill highlighted the importance of mental preparation, saying, “For me, it is more mental rather than technical or physical.” He also revealed that India will have about 10 days to prepare and acclimate themselves to the conditions in England before the big match.
