Former Australian captain Tim Paine has made a big statement on sledging Virat Kohli. Paine says that he was fed up of hearing people’s advice not to sledge Virat. During India’s 2018-2019 Australia tour, the Kangaroo team started sledging Virat to gain a mental edge over him. During that time, Tim Paine, who was the captain of the Australian team, sledged Virat Kohli fiercely.

Tim Paine says that whether Australia sledged Virat Kohli or not, he was still scoring a lot of runs. They only tried to distract Virat. The former Australian captain said, “People used to say don’t sledge Virat. Even if you don’t sledge him, he was still scoring good runs consistently. So it doesn’t matter whether you are sledging him or not.”

    Provoking Virat Means Alarm Bells

Tim Paine said that he used to get irritated when people told him not to sledge Virat. He said, “I didn’t even want to try to provoke Virat Kohli too much. We only tried to distract him, we were hoping that due to distraction he might play a bad shot. To be honest, I used to get irritated when people told him not to sledge him.”
