    Smriti Mandhana, born on July 18, 1996, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is an opening batter for the Indian team and is considered one of the most talented cricketers in Indian women’s cricket. She made her international debut in 2013 and has since then achieved significant milestones in her career. In June 2018, she was honored as the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year and the ICC Women’s ODI Player of the Year. Additionally, in January 2022, the ICC awarded her the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Award for the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year.     Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, was a district-level cricketer who represented Sangli in his early years. Shrinivas always harbored a desire to become a cricketer himself, but he never received the kind of support he needed from his parents. Therefore, he provided unwavering support to both Smriti and her brother in pursuing their cricketing dreams. Shrinivas had hoped that one of his children would one day play for India, and he is now an incredibly proud father after seeing Smriti fulfill his aspirations. In addition to his role as a chemical distributor, Shrinivas also manages Smriti’s cricketing schedule. He is the proud owner of the flagship SM-18 Café, located in Vishrambaug, Sangli.
