This is South Africa’s third consecutive win in the group stage. After winning 3 consecutive matches, South Africa has qualified for the Super 8. Bangladesh and Netherlands are in second and third place with two points after two matches each. After that comes Nepal which has played only one match and lost. Talking about Sri Lanka, the Sri Lankan team is currently at the bottom of the points table in Group D. Sri Lanka played two matches and lost both.

After South Africa’s victory, Sri Lanka is in danger of being eliminated from the group stage. Sri Lanka will now have to win both the remaining matches by a big margin.
