    South Africa has reached the final of T20 World Cup 2024. South Africa defeated Afghanistan by 9 wickets in the semi-finals. The South African team has managed to reach the final of the T20 World Cup for the first time. Batting first, the entire Afghanistan team was reduced to 56 runs. In response, South Africa won a one-sided victory by losing 1 wicket. For South Africa, Reeza Hendricks remained unbeaten on 29 runs and Aiden Markram on 23 runs. Fazalhaq Farooqui got the only one wicket.

    South Africa, chasing the small target of 56, got the first blow at the score of 5 runs. Quinton de Kock was sent to the pavilion by Fazalhaq Farooqui. De Kock was out after scoring 5 runs. After this, Reeza Hendricks’ 29 runs and Aiden Markram’s unbeaten innings of 23 runs gave South Africa a one-sided victory. Now the South African team will play the final on June 29.

    Winning the toss and batting first, Afghanistan had a very bad start. Rahmanullah Gurbaz was out without opening the account. Marco Johnson showed him the way to the pavilion. After this Gulbadin Naib also became the victim of Marco Johnson after scoring 9 runs. Then Ibrahim Zadran was run out by Rabada. Ibrahim Zadran scored only 2 runs. In the same over, Mohammad Nabi was also run out by Kagiso Rabada. Nabi could not even open the account.

    Nangiyali Kharote also got out after scoring 2 runs. Johnson also made him his victim. Afghanistan has lost the 6th wicket on the score of 28 runs. Azmatullah Umarzai was out after scoring 10 runs. He was shown the way to the pavilion by Anrich Nortje. In no time, the South African bowlers bowled out the entire Afghanistan team for just 56 runs. For South Africa, Tabrez Shamsi and Marco Johnson took the maximum 3-3 wickets. While Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje got 2-2 wickets.

    Afghanistan’s batting proved to be a complete flop in the first semi-final match of the T20 World Cup 2024. After which Afghanistan’s score of 56 runs became the lowest score ever in the knockout stage of the T20 World Cup. For the first time the Afghanistan team had made many big upsets in this tournament, but they easily fell in front of South Africa. The entire team was bowled out for just 56 runs. With this, they now has the record of scoring the lowest score in the knockout stage in T20 World Cup history.

    Afghanistan team collapsed for just 56 runs in 11.5 overs. Earlier, in the knockout stage of T20 World Cup 2014, Sri Lanka defeated West Indies under Duckworth Lewis rule.  In this match, Sri Lanka scored 160 runs for 6 wickets. In reply, West Indies scored 80 runs after losing 4 wickets in 13.5 overs. Sri Lanka defeated West Indies in the second knockout stage of T20 World Cup 2009. Sri Lanka scored 158 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, West Indies were reduced to 101 runs in 17.4 overs.
