These days nothing is going well for Team India batsman Suryakumar Yadav. Surya was the victim of a golden duck in three consecutive innings in the three-match ODI International series against Australia just before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. His poor form continues in IPL 2023 as well. Surya is the number-1 batsman in the ICC T20 International batting rankings, but now his crown is also under threat. The gap between him and Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam has narrowed in the latest rankings.

Surya is the only Indian who is a part of the top-10 in the ICC T20 International Batting Rankings. The second best rank is of Virat Kohli, who is at number 15 with 612 rating points. Virat has not played any T20 International match since the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
Surya has 906 rating points, while Rizwan has 811 and Babar has 755 rating points.
While Surya is taking part in the IPL these days, Pakistan has to play a five-match T20 International series against New Zealand from April 14.
On the home ground, both Rizwan and Babar will have a chance to snatch Surya’s crown as the No.1 T20 batsman.
