Former New Zealand cricketer Corey Anderson became the fifth player to play for two different nations at the ICC T20 World Cup when he was named in the playing XI of USA against Canada in the first match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He had previously played for New Zealand at the 2014 and 2016 editions of the tournament. Before him, 16 players in ODIs and 17 in tests have played for two countries. Additionally, 19 players have represented two countries in T20Is and five of them have played in the ICC T20 World Cup for two teams.
