    1. Ruturaj Gaikwad

In the IPL 2023 season, Ruturaj Gaikwad had an impressive start with a superb knock of 92 runs against Gujarat Titans. Gaikwad is a versatile batsman who can handle spin and pace bowling equally well. He has a proven track record as a reliable run-scorer and played a vital role for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2022. During the previous IPL season, Gaikwad emerged as the leading run-scorer for his team, amassing 368 runs from 14 innings and hitting three half-centuries. He is a player who is capable of anchoring the innings and building partnerships, which makes him a valuable asset for any fantasy cricket team. With his current form and skill set, Gaikwad is a top contender to be selected as one of the best batters in your fantasy team for the upcoming CSK vs LSG match.

    2. KL Rahul

Despite a disappointing start to the IPL 2023 season, KL Rahul is still considered one of the most prominent players in the tournament. In the first match of the season, Rahul managed to score only eight runs against the Delhi Capitals. However, his track record proves that he is a top-performing batsman. In IPL 2022, Rahul was the second-highest run-scorer, with 616 runs in 15 innings, including two centuries and four fifties. Although he struggled against the Capitals in the previous match, it would be a mistake to underestimate Rahul’s potential. He is known for his consistency and ability to score big runs. Rahul’s vast experience and ability to adapt to different game situations make him an excellent choice for any fantasy cricket team. Despite a slow start to the current season, he remains a top contender for being one of the best batters in your fantasy team for the upcoming matches.

    3. Nicholas Pooran

In the IPL 2023 season, Nicholas Pooran showcased his skills as an experienced wicketkeeper-batsman. He scored 36 runs off 21 balls in the last match against Delhi Capitals, and earlier in the T20I against South Africa, he smashed 41 runs off 19 balls. Although Pooran’s performance in the previous IPL season was average, with only two half-centuries in 14 matches, he has previously proven himself as a game-changer in T20 cricket. Pooran is not only a powerful batsman but also an excellent wicketkeeper with a safe pair of hands. He has also shown his prowess in the field while playing for Punjab Kings. Pooran’s ability to contribute in multiple ways makes him a valuable asset for any fantasy cricket team.

IPL 2023 LSG vs DC: Ravichandran Ashwin expresses disappointment over Mohsin Khan’s absence from the 16th Edition of TATA IPL

Rajasthan Royals spinner Ravichandran Ashwin recently shared his thoughts on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer Mohsin Khan’s absence from the majority of the IPL 2023 season. Khan was one of the promising new players in last year’s IPL who took 14 wickets in nine matches with an under-6 economy and an average of 14.07. Unfortunately, he had to leave the tournament early after suffering discomfort and undergoing surgery to remove blood clots from his shoulder. While Khan is reportedly attending LSG’s training camp in Lucknow, he is unable to bowl due to shoulder discomfort.

Apart from his thoughts on Khan’s absence, Ashwin also commended LSG’s auction strategy, especially for securing West Indian keeper-batter Nicholas Pooran for INR 16 Crores. The team also bought all-rounders Romario Shephard and Daniel Sams for under INR 1 Crore each, as well as Indian-capped bowlers Amit Mishra and Jaydev Unadkat. Ashwin said, “They had a terrific auction as they had Nicholas Pooran. Now they have Nicholas Pooran to complement Stoinis in finishing. In bowling, they have Avesh Khan, Mohsin Khan, and co.”

    Team Lucknow

LSG, who reached the playoffs last year, will be looking to go further this season and even win the IPL 2023 title. Their first match will be against Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 1. While they will miss the talented Mohsin Khan on the field, LSG is counting on their other strong players to lead them to victory.

IPL 2023: Aaron Finch predicts big season for KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock in IPL 2023, and also identifies Nicholas Pooran as LSG’s X-factor

Former Australian batter Aaron Finch has warned IPL teams that the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) opening pair of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock will have a big season in the upcoming IPL 2023. Speaking in an interaction with Star Sports, Finch pointed out that the LSG opening combination complements each other well, with different strengths and weaknesses that offset each other. He praised KL Rahul’s captaincy and stated that the home ground advantage will play a significant role for LSG this season.

    KL Rahul and De Kock

LSG had a great IPL 2022, reaching the playoffs but losing to RCB in the eliminator. KL Rahul had a prolific season, scoring 616 runs in 16 matches and striking two tons and four half-centuries. He led his team admirably, especially when the bowlers were under pressure. LSG has added Nicholas Pooran to their middle order, which will provide invaluable support.

He also mentioned that the unpredictable nature of the Lucknow wicket could work in LSG’s favor.

    Nicholas Poran

Finch believes that Nicholas Pooran could be the X-factor for LSG this season. Pooran was part of SRH in IPL 2022, scoring 306 runs in 14 matches with a strike rate of 144.34 and an average of 38.25, including two half-centuries. Finch said that Pooran’s ability to strike at a high rate, particularly early in his innings, makes him the player to watch out for in the LSG team.

IPL 2023: 3 Great Players Who Failed Miserably at PBKS

Since the inception of the Indian Premier League in 2008, Punjab Kings (PBKS) have been one of the most popular teams in the tournament. Despite having a loyal fan base, the franchise has failed to clinch a title in the tournament’s history. They have had several T20 superstars on their roster over the years, but the team’s inconsistent core has prevented them from achieving their ultimate goal.

In this article, we will focus on the three great players who failed to live up to expectations while representing PBKS.

    1) Glenn Maxwell

    Gleen

Glenn Maxwell’s explosive batting skills have made him one of the most sought-after players in T20 cricket. With 8451 runs to his name in this format, he has maintained an impressive average of 28 and a staggering strike rate of 151. This is why he has been a high-value player in the IPL auctions year after year.

Glenn Maxwell first donned the PBKS jersey in 2014 and went on to play 65 matches for the team. During this time, he scored a total of 1294 runs with a mind-boggling strike rate of 159 and also took 13 wickets with an economy rate of 8.61.

However, apart from his stellar performances in 2014 and 2017, he failed to make any significant impact in the other three seasons – 2015, 2016, and 2020. This resulted in the team releasing him after he could only muster a meager 100 runs in the 2020 edition of the tournament.

    2) Nicholas Pooran

    Nicholas

Nicholas Pooran is a force to be reckoned with in T20 cricket. With a stunning record of 4977 runs in 236 innings, including an average of 25 and a strike rate of 141, it’s no wonder that he’s considered one of the most destructive batters in the world. Pooran is particularly effective against spin bowling during the middle overs phase, making him a valuable asset to any team.

Also Read: IPL 2023: Nicholas Pooran to Bat at Number Three for Lucknow Super Giants – Reports

However, despite his impressive reputation, Pooran’s IPL career has been somewhat inconsistent. During his 33 matches with the Punjab Kings (PBKS), he scored 606 runs at an average of 22 and a strike rate of 155. While these numbers aren’t terrible, Pooran has only had one standout season with the franchise, which was in 2020.

Unfortunately, the 2021 edition of the IPL proved to be a disaster for Pooran. He had one of the worst individual season performances by a batter in IPL history, scoring only 85 runs in 11 innings and collecting four ducks. Nevertheless, Pooran’s undoubted talent means that he is still a hot prospect for any T20 franchise looking to add some firepower to their batting line-up.

    3) Marcus Stoinis

    Marcus

Marcus Stoinis, the Australian all-rounder, has established himself as one of the most dependable T20 finishers in recent times. With a wealth of experience in the format, the 33-year-old has showcased his all-round capabilities with both bat and ball.

In his T20 career spanning 219 matches, Stoinis has amassed an impressive 4500 runs at a strike rate of 137 and also claimed 96 wickets at an economy rate of 9.03.

Stoinis first made his IPL debut with Punjab Kings (then known as Kings XI Punjab) way back in 2016. He played 19 matches across three seasons and proved to be a valuable asset for the team, scoring 262 runs at an average of 24 and a strike rate of 126. With the ball, he took 13 wickets at an economy rate of 9.53 runs per over, showcasing his all-round skills.

IPL 2023: Nicholas Pooran to Bat at Number Three for Lucknow Super Giants – Reports

In what promises to be a thrilling season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2023, the Lucknow Super Giants have made a major splash with their purchase of Nicholas Pooran for a staggering INR 16 Crores. While many fans are excited to see what Pooran can bring to the table, recent reports suggest that there may be some surprises in store for the team’s batting lineup.

Nicholas Pooran To Bat At Number 3

According to these reports, Nicholas Pooran is set to bat at number three for the Lucknow Super Giants in the upcoming season. This is a significant departure from his traditional position in the middle order, and it underscores the team’s confidence in his abilities as a top-order batter.

With KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock likely to open the innings for LSG, Pooran’s arrival at number three could add even more firepower to an already impressive batting lineup. The team also boasts a wealth of other talented batters, including Deepak Hooda, Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni, and Krunal Pandya, all of whom are capable of batting at various positions in the order.

    5- MS Dhoni

    6- Nicholas Poooran

    7- Glenn Phillips

Glenn Phillips is a rising star in world cricket. He recently helped New Zealand win a match against Pakistan singlehandedly by scoring a quick-fire fifty. Phillips is going to represent Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2023, and he can be the most dangerous batter in this year’s edition.

  • 5 Players CSK can target in IPL Auction 2023

5 Players CSK can target in IPL Auction 2023

At the IPL 2023 auction, CSK will be looking to fill some vacant spots in their squad. They will be targeting replacements for some of their senior players, as well as addressing some of their weak points. CSK will be hoping for a better season next year, and they will be looking to make some smart moves at the auction table to make that happen.

Here are 5 players CSK can target in IPL Auction 2023:

    #1 Sam Curran

With an impressive performance in the recent T20 World Cup held in Australia, Sam Curran is one of the most expected players to go big in the upcoming mini-auction. The English all-rounder played for Chennai Super Kings in the 2020 and 2021 IPL seasons but missed the 2022 edition due to injury.

Curran meets all the requirements for the overseas fast bowler slot at CSK, including the ability to bowl well in the death overs. Consequently, Chennai Super Kings are likely to put up a strong bid for him at the auction.

    #2 Harry Brook

The Chennai Super Kings could use an experienced spin bowler in the middle order for the 2022 season. England’s Harry Brook would be a good fit for this role.

Brook could bat at number four. He has the ability to take advantage of conditions when the ball gets a bit older and attack. This would put pressure on the opposition and give the Super Kings an edge.

    #3 Riley Meredith

With Adam Milne being released ahead of the mini-auction 2023, the Chennai Super Kings are in need of a fast bowler. Riley Meredith is one of the most suitable options available.

Meredith has shown remarkable potential and can be groomed into a very successful player under the guidance of MS Dhoni. He will be available at a very reasonable price and could be a very valuable asset to the team.

    #4 Narayan Jagadeesan

There’s no doubt that the Tamil Dadu keeper-batsman should be one of CSK’s top targets in the upcoming auction. His recent performances in the Vijay Hazare Trophy–830 runs in 8 innings at an average of 138.33–have been terrific, and he would give CSK the option of playing an Indian keeper-batsman in the XI. CSK released him just before the domestic tournament, but seeing his potential and capability, they should buy him back.

    #5 Nicholas Pooran

The Chennai Super Kings are in need of a power hitter and Nicholas Pooran is one of the most attractive options available in the IPL 2023 Mini Auction.

Nicholas Pooran’s impressive form in the T10 League has caught the eye of many cricket fans. He led the Deccan Gladiators to victory in Abu Dhabi, and his availability for the full season makes him a prime target for CSK’s Wishlist. Pooran is the only player to hit a century in the T10 format
