Born on April 3, 1994, Taskin Ahmed Tazim is a prominent Bangladeshi cricketer known for his role as a right-arm fast bowler and a left-handed batsman. In the realm of first-class and List A cricket, he represents Dhaka Metropolis, and in the Bangladesh Premier League, he plays for the Rangpur Rangers franchise.
One of his significant achievements is being the first Bangladeshi cricketer to secure a five-wicket haul on his ODI debut.

Taskin Ahmed Tazim is the son of businessman Abdur Rashid and Sabina Yasmin. His educational journey took him through King Khaled Institute for SSC and Stamford College for HSC. Subsequently, he pursued higher education at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB).
In November 2017, Taskin tied the knot with his childhood friend Sayeda Rabeya Nayeem. Their family expanded with the arrival of their first child, Tashfeen Ahmed Rihan, born on September 30, 2018. Additionally, in 2022, they welcomed their third son, further enriching their family life.
On January 12, 2017, Taskin Ahmed made his Test debut for Bangladesh in a match against New Zealand, and during that debut game, he marked a memorable moment by dismissing Kane Williamson for his maiden Test wicket.

Taskin’s remarkable performances in domestic cricket during the 2014 season earned him a spot in Bangladesh’s squad for the 2015 Cricket World Cup. In the group stage of the World Cup, he showcased his skills by taking one wicket against Afghanistan, three against Scotland, and two against England.
These performances played a crucial role in Bangladesh’s qualification for the quarter-finals, where they faced India in Melbourne. Taskin continued to impress by taking three wickets in that quarter-final match, making him the highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh in the tournament. Taskin’s prowess has also earned him a place in Bangladesh’s World Cup 2023 squad.
