The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) can announce Team India for the limited overs series against Sri Lanka today. Team India has to play a three-match T20 series and an equal number of ODI series in Sri Lanka.
Team will be selected under the leadership of Gautam for the T20 and ODI series against Sri Lanka. Actually, this is the first assignment of the new head coach of the Indian team. According to the reports, Gambhir will be a part of the team selection along with chief selector Ajit Agarkar.

India’s Sri Lanka tour will start with the first T20 on July 27. The first match of the three match T20 series between India and Sri Lanka will be played on July 27. Then the second T20 match will be played on the next day i.e. on July 28 and the third and final T20 match will be played on July 30. All the matches of the T20 series will be played in Pallekele.
After the T20 series, a three match ODI series will be played between the two teams from August 2. The second match of the ODI series will be played on August 4 and the third and final match on August 7. All the matches of the ODI series will be played in Colombo. There are high chances that Rohit Sharma will be available for the selection.

Hardik Pandya has asked for a break from the ODI series
According to reports, star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has asked for a break from the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. According to the report, Pandya has asked for a break due to personal reasons and has also informed regular captain Rohit Sharma about this.
