The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) concluded on June 3. Although the season was supposed to end earlier, it had to be postponed by more than a week due to military tensions between India and Pakistan. Now that the IPL is officially over, dozens of players from India and around the world are free from franchise duties. While international cricket had already resumed in parts, it’s now going to fully take centre stage. So, what does India’s upcoming cricket schedule look like? Let’s take a look.
The Indian cricket team will return to international action from June 20, kicking off with a tour of England, where they will play a five-match Test series. This will be the first series for both teams as part of the 2025–27 ICC World Test Championship cycle. The series will continue until August 4. After that, Team India will travel to Bangladesh for a white-ball series consisting of three ODIs and three T20Is, scheduled between August 17 and August 31.
The Asia Cup 2025 is next on the calendar, but the exact dates have not yet been announced. Following that, India will host West Indies for a two-match Test series from October 2 to October 14. Then the team will head to Australia, where they will play three ODIs and five T20Is from October 19 to November 8.
After their return from Australia, India will host South Africa for a full series including two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is, which will be held across different Indian cities from November 14 to December 19.
