Team India will not go to Pakistan for Champions Trophy, BCCI will ask ICC to change the venue

According to some BCCI sources, the Indian team is unlikely to go to Pakistan for next year's Champions Trophy. BCCI will demand ICC to organize their matches in Sri Lanka or Dubai.

Big information is coming out about the Champions Trophy 2025. According to the news agency ANI, a BCCI source confirmed that the Indian team is unlikely to go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will demand the International Cricket Council (ICC) to organize the Champions Trophy matches in Sri Lanka or Dubai.

As per the proposed schedule, the Champions Trophy is to be held in Pakistan. Matches are to be held at Karachi Stadium, Rawalpindi Stadium and Lahore Stadium in Pakistan. India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, Australia and Afghanistan have qualified for the Champions Trophy.

It was already believed that there is less possibility of India going to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. Now ANI has also confirmed this quoting BCCI sources that there is no possibility of Team India going to Pakistan. The Indian team did not go to Pakistan even during the Asia Cup. At that time, India’s matches were held in Sri Lanka. Host country Pakistan had to travel the most. On the other hand, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh traveled to two countries for 3 matches.

Possible schedule of Champions Trophy

Talking about the possible schedule for the Champions Trophy, the teams of India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh can be in one group while Australia, England, Afghanistan and South Africa can be in the other group. The match between India and Pakistan can be held on March 1.

However, this is a possible schedule and there is no official news about it. Now BCCI can also ask ICC to give the hosting of Champions Trophy to Sri Lanka or Dubai, which ANI has claimed. If the host country changes, then there can be many changes in the schedule of Champions Trophy.
