The 2023 edition of The Hundred is the third season of the professional 100-ball cricket tournament held in England and Wales. It includes eight men’s and women’s teams based in major cities. These franchises are distinct from the county cricket clubs and represent significant regions of England and Wales. The same eight teams from the 2022 season are participating again this year.
In the 2023 season of The Hundred, eight city-based teams will vie for both the men’s and women’s titles during a month-long period from 1st August to 27th August. The group stage will consist of 64 matches (32 for men’s and 32 for women’s), all held on the same day and at the same venues. A single ticket will grant access to both matches.
Each team will play four home and four away matches, facing all other teams in the competition once and having an additional bonus match against their nearest regional rivals.
After the group stage, the top three teams will proceed to the knockout stage. The second and third-ranked teams will compete in a semi-final at The Oval in London. The winner of this match will then face the team that finished first in the league in the final at Lord’s to determine the ultimate champions.
