Hardik Pandya was the subject of a very controversial third umpire decision in the ongoing 1st ODI against New Zealand. Twitter has erupted with Tweets that are labelling the standards of umpiring in India as third class. Hardik Pandya was batting well in partnership with Shubman Gill before he was judged out by the third umpire.
Hardik Pandya was on 28 when he missed a ball by Daryl Mitchell, which apparently did not touch anything, and somehow the bails were dislodged. An over later, the wicketkeeper Tom Latham again dislodged the bails when Shubmam Gill was batting, but this time the ball had clearly hit the bat of Shubman Gil.
The people of Twitter are claiming that this was also the case with Hardik Pandya. Netizens believe that Tom Latham had dislodged the stumps by mistake in Pandya’s incident as well, and the third umpire made a huge blunder.
Here’s how Twitter is reacting to Third Umpire’s Blunder in IND vs NZ 1st ODI:
Tom Latham is constantly hitting the stumps. He succeeded with that nasty technique for Hardik Pandya but failed for Shubman Gill.

Pandya had every right to fume over that howler from 3rd Umpire.

And if he is punished for doing that, then better play clowns BCCI. No need for humans to play for you.
Hardik Pandya was not out …

Please Change the Third Umpire whatever his name his as he is blind and cannot make fair decisions…
We are having a World Cup in India this year and we are getting to see such decisions by the Umpire…
Hardik Pandya was not out here. Ball didn't even touch the stumps. Poor umpiring….
