Tom Blundell, New Zealand’s wicketkeeper in Test cricket, has achieved a unique feat by not dropping a single catch or missing out on stumping in 2022. Before Tom Blundell became a regular in the Test team of New Zealand, Tom Latham used to do the keeping for his team in the longest format of the game. However, Latham was not as good as Blundell behind the wickets. But New Zealand did not want to let go of Latham as the batter, which made Kiwis play both of them in Test cricket together.

Now, Tom Blundell has proven the decision to play him as the primary wicketkeeper in New Zealand’s team in Test cricket right with his astonishing feat. This is a rare moment in the history of Test cricket. Blundell has proved that he is severely underrated in Test cricket when it comes to wicketkeeping.

Currently, Tom Blundell is playing for New Zealand in the first Test of their tour to Pakistan. He contributed 47 runs with the bat in this match and New Zealand has a very good chance of defeating the Pakistani team if they manage to pick some quick wickets in the second session on the fifth day.
