Born on November 8, 2002, in Hyderabad, Telangana, Tilak Varma emerged as a talented young all-rounder. He marked his entry into first-class cricket with his debut match against Andhra Pradesh in 2018.
In December 2019, Tilak Varma earned a spot in India’s squad for the 2020 U-19 Cricket World Cup. His impressive performance during the tournament captured the attention of numerous franchises during the IPL 2022 mega auction. Eventually, he was selected by the Mumbai Indians for a significant sum of Rs 1.70 crore. His IPL debut took place on March 27, when he played against the Delhi Capitals.
