Recently, Shubman Gill became only the fifth player in Indian cricket history to score a double century in ODIs. Gill almost went past record of 973 runs in a single season of IPL by Virat Kohli.     1- 208 off 149 Balls against New Zealand

    Shubman Gill went berserk in the 1st ODI of New Zealand’s Tour to India January 2023. He smashed each and every Kiwi bowler to blast 208 off just 149 deliveries. His innings set the tone for India in the ODI series. Interestingly, no other Indian batter managed to reach even 35 runs in the game. Shubman Gill’s this knock will always be remembered as his one of the best in ODI cricket. He smashed 19 fours and 9 sixes in this eventful inning before being dismissed by Shipley. Gill’s inning helped India reach 349/8 in 50 overs and win the match by 12 runs.

    2- 130 off 97 Balls against Zimbabwe

    Shubman Gill’s first century in ODIs came when India needed it the most. On India’s Tour of Zimbabwe in 2022, the 3rd ODI was owned by Zimbabwe bowlers before Shubman Gill unleashed his batting prowess. While wickets kept tumbling from one end, Gill showed courage to blast 130 off 97 balls. India scored 289/8 in the match and managed to restrict Zimbabwe on 276/10 to win the game. Shubman Gill was named player of the match for his significant knock.

    3- 112 off 78 Balls against New Zealand

    In the high scoring third ODI between India and New Zealand, Shubman Gill scored a brisk 112 off 78 to help the Indian team post 385/9. India won the match by 90 runs. Gill smashed 13 fours and 5 sixes in this attacking inning. Definitely, one of the best Shubman Gill innings in ODIs so far.

    4- 116 off 97 Balls against Sri Lanka

    The 3rd ODI of Sri Lanka Tour to India is mostly remembered for Virat Kohli’s flamboyant 166* off just 110 deliveries. However, Shubman Gill was also fantabulous with his shot making in this game. Gill smashed 116 off 97 balls with the help of 14 fours and 2 sixes. India reached 390/5 and bowled out Sri Lanka for a miserly 73 runs to win the match by a huge margin of 313 runs. Shubman Gill played a big part in this victory for India.

    5- 98* off 98 Balls against West Indies

    The third ODI between India and West Indies in 2022 was a rain curtailed match in which the game was shortened to 36 overs per side. Shubman Gill special was on the show that day. The young batter from Punjab smashed run a ball 98* to help India reach 225/3 in 36 overs. In reply West Indies was bowled out for 137 runs. India won the match by 119 runs through D/L method. Gill was named player of the match and player of the series.

    6- 82* off 72 Balls against Zimbabwe

    Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 82 off 72 deliveries against Zimbabwe in the first ODI of India’s Tour to Zimbabwe in 2022 helped India chase 190 without the loss of any wicket in just 30.5 overs. The thumping Indian victory announced the arrival of Shubman Gill. Ultimately, Gill went on to win the player of the series award for his scintillating knocks throughout the series.
