Travis Michael Head, born on December 29, 1993, is a prominent Australian cricketer with international acclaim. He holds contracts with South Australia and the Adelaide Strikers for domestic cricket. In limited-overs formats, Head is known for his aggressive left-handed opening batting style, while in Test matches, he plays in the middle-order. Additionally, he possesses the versatility of being a part-time right-arm off-spin bowler.

From January 2019 to November 2020, Head served as one of the co-vice-captains for the Australian national Test team. His contributions were instrumental in the Australian squad’s victory in the 2023 ICC World Test Championship final, where he earned the title of Player of the Match for his remarkable innings of 163 runs.

At the age of 10, Travis joined the Tea Tree Gully District Cricket Club, a significant step towards district-level cricket. Remarkably, by the time he turned 16, he had already participated in various age-level cricket competitions for South Australia, including under-17s.

His under-19s cricket debut for South Australia took place against Northern Territory Under-19s in Brisbane in 2010. Travis continued to make strides in his cricket career, making his under-19s debut for Australia against India Under-19s on September 27, 2011. He also represented Australia in the 2012 under-19 World Cup, marking his journey toward becoming a professional cricketer.
