He bowled a delivery with a speed of 156 km/ph. Since then, people have been speculating whether Umran Malik can break the record of Shoaib Akhtar’s fastest ball in cricket.
Bharat Arun, the former bowling coach of the Indian cricket team, believes that Umran Malik can go beyond Shoaib Akhtar’s record and can increase his speed in the upcoming few months.
Umran Malik was one of the biggest positives for India in the series against Sri Lanka. He was influential in the middle overs and helped India take crucial wickets. It is more than likely that he will be part of India’s squad for the 2023 World Cup.
