“Umran Malik is faster in the nets,” says Axar Patel

Umran Malik can go past 160km/ph for India in international cricket.

Umran Malik recently bowler a delivery with the speed of 155 km/ph in the first T20 against Sri Lanka. That ball is now called the fastest ever ball bowled by an Indian pacer in international cricket. However, Umran Malik has also bowled with the speed of 157 km/ph in IPL 2022. So, this was not a new thing for him.

The Times of India has reported that the Indian cricket players including Axar Patel believe that Umran Malik is actually much faster in the nets. The young gun from Jammu is doing the wonders for India in the shortest format of the game.

"Umran Malik is faster in the nets," says Axar Patel

According to TOI, the Indian cricket players feel that Umran Malik bowls faster when is cheered on by his teammates and support staff in the nets. It seems the day when an Indian touches the special 160 km/ph mark in international cricket is not far away.

Umran Malik bowled with great pace in the 2nd T20 against Sri Lanka and picked 3 wickets. However, he needs to work on his line and length as he was smashed for close to 50 runs in his 4 overs. India lost the second T20 by 17 runs.
