Recently, Hardik Pandya, the Indian all-rounder, made a surprising switch from Gujarat Titans to Mumbai Indians. Now, it appears that another Titans player, Shami, is being pursued by other franchises through what Gujarat Titans CEO Colonel Arvinder Singh deems as ‘unfair’ methods. Singh revealed that franchises are directly approaching the coaching staff instead of going through the proper management channels. The specific franchise attempting to recruit Shami was not disclosed.

As the IPL auction approaches, Gujarat Titans find themselves with a budget of Rs 38.15 cr, along with two vacant foreign player slots and 8 overall positions to fill. This follows the recent announcement of retained players for the upcoming season.

In the absence of Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill has taken on the role of captain for the Titans, making him one of the youngest IPL captains at the age of 24.

In the last IPL season, Gujarat Titans secured their spot in the final, marking their second appearance in the championship match within their initial two seasons. Despite their impressive journey, they finished as runners-up, facing defeat against the Chennai Super Kings.

Gujarat Titans Complete Squad: Abhinav Manohar, Mohammed Shami, Sai Sudharsan, Mohit Sharma, Shubman Gill (captain), Kane Williamson, Matthew Wade, David Miller, Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tewatia, Noor Ahmad, Sai Kishore, Joshua Little, Rashid Khan.

Full List of Released Players: KS Bharat, Shivam Mavi, Odean Smith, Alzarri Joseph, Dasun Shanaka, Yash Dayal, Urvil Patel, Pradeep Sangwan, Hardik Pandya (traded to Mumbai Indians).
