According to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) head coach Sanjay Bangar, Virat Kohli experienced a minor ache during the game against Gujarat Titans (GT), but nothing serious.
At the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday, Shubman Gill’s century outdid Virat Kohli’s outstanding 101-run performance to help GT defeat RCB by six wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match.
In the post-game press conference, RCB head coach Sanjay Bangar provided an update on the situation, reiterating that the injury is not serious. After playing so much tough cricket, the body will start to complain, he said, pointing out that Virat Kohli remained on the field for the duration of every inning in the previous game as well as the game against Gujarat Titans.

“Yeah, he had a bit of a niggle in his knee. But I do not think there is anything serious. Having scored two back-to-back hundreds within a gap of 4 days, he is somebody who not only wants to contribute with the bat but even when he is fielding. He did a lot of running around. 40 overs a couple of days ago and today, for 35 overs he was on the field. He was giving his best. So it is going to bother at some point but I don’t think it’s anything serious,” Sanjay Bangar said after the match at a press conference.
