Ben Stokes, the renowned English all-rounder, made a stunning impression in his first practice session with the Chennai Super Kings on March 24 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium ahead of IPL 2023. Stokes displayed his batting prowess by smashing the deliveries from the net bowlers and the throwdown specialists out of the park.

Given his impressive form, fans are eager to see if Stokes can continue his spectacular performance in the upcoming IPL season. Stokes joined the Chennai Super Kings squad on the same day and immediately joined their practice sessions.

The Chennai Super Kings shared a video on Twitter featuring Stokes’ impressive batting session, which received overwhelming support from fans. The tweet gained more than 18K likes and was viewed by over 90,000 fans on the micro-blogging platform.

The Chennai Super Kings have never won an IPL match against defending champions Gujarat Titans. In IPL 2022, the two franchises clashed twice, with GT winning both times. In the first match, David Miller’s exceptional performance helped Gujarat win, while Wriddhiman Saha stole the show in the reverse fixture. With Stokes’ phenomenal performance, it is expected that he will score a lot of runs for his new IPL franchise.

The two teams are set to face off in the IPL 2023 season opener at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. More than 100,000 fans are expected to attend the opening game of IPL 2023. According to reports, the BCCI is planning a grand opening ceremony for the new season.

It remains to be seen how Ben Stokes and the rest of the Chennai Super Kings squad will perform against the Gujarat Titans on the first day of IPL 2023.
