Ben Stokes came out to bat at number four for Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing match against Gujarat Titans. Many people were surprised when Moeen Ali came ahead of Ben Stokes in the batting order but the latter survived for a few balls before making way for Stokes to come into the match to bat at number four.
He played his first ball against Rashid Khan, and there was a lot of confusion between him and Ruturaj Gaikwad about the run that was available on offer. Ultimately Stokes got his first run for Chennai Super Kings.
Earlier in the match, MS Dhoni lost the toss and Chennai Super Kings was invited to bat in first the match.
