Only a year after he caught what was regarded as the “catch of the century” in BBL11, Renegades player Jake Fraser-McGurk has made what may be the catch of the summer in BBL 12 to dismiss Shadab Khan.
This 20 year old Jake Fraser is definitely considered as one of the best fielders of Australian Cricket team ever. In his short career of BBL he has taken some tremendous catches.
Shadab Khan made contact with the ball, and Aaron Finch was heard shouting “six” as soon as he did. After that, he was heard encouraging his partner to throw the ball back into play before completing the incredible feat by jumping over the boundary rope.
His most recent performance, though, astonished the Fox commentary team as the Hobart Hurricanes struggled to score runs at the Blundstone Arena in Hobart and were eventually dismissed for just 122.
“We saw an excellent one from him last season, here he comes again, Fraser-McGurk to the rescue,” Isa Guha said.
“I thought that was going a long way back, we have seen him do it before, he’s as athletic as anyone in the world,” Brett Lee said.
“Everything has to go right here, judgment has to be perfect, have a look at this, takes off from inside,” Haddin said.
