WATCH- Mohammed Shami is very close to comeback, sweating profusely in the gym!

Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami shared a video through social media, in which he is seen sweating profusely in the gym.

Fans missed Mohammed Shami a lot in IPL 2024. The Indian fast bowler is part of Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League. In the last season of the tournament (IPL 2023), the Gujarat pacer won the Purple Cap by taking the most wickets. But these days he is away from cricket due to injury, due to which he could not be a part of IPL 2024. But now he may return soon. Shami shared a video on social media, in which he is sweating in the gym.

Shami has not been able to make a comeback since the ODI World Cup 2023 played on Indian soil. He played his last match in the ODI World Cup final. Shami also played with injury in the World Cup. He later revealed that he used to take injections after ODI World Cup matches due to pain. His heel was hurt.

The Indian pacer had undergone surgery for this injury on February 26, 2024, from which he is now recovering well. While giving an update on Shami’s injury, BCCI had said that he will not be able to play the T20 World Cup to be held after IPL.

Now Shami is working hard to return from injury. He is sweating in the gym. He has almost recovered from the surgery. If media reports are to be believed, Shami may return by September. However, no official statement has come out yet regarding his return.

Outstanding Performance in 2023 ODI World Cup  

It is noteworthy that Mohammed Shami was the bowler taking the highest wicket in the ODI World Cup 2023. He took 24 wickets in 7 matches at an excellent average of 10.71. Australian spinner Adam Zampa was at second place in this list, who had taken 23 wickets in 11 matches.
