Shafali Verma led India U-19 cricket team created history by lifting the maiden edition of the U19 Women’s T20 World Cup on Sunday (January 29).
Neeraj Chopra, who met Team India on the eve of the final to give a pep talk to the players, was also among the group of fans cheering for the young team in the stands.
While the players were celebrating the title win, Neeraj, accompanied by a member of Team India’s coaching staff, entered the field and bowed down to Team India.
Titas Sadhu, who bowled a match-winning spell of 4-0-6-2, was bestowed with the Player of the Match award.
