BCCI has announced Team India for the Sri Lanka tour starting from 27th July. Suryakumar Yadav has been given the captaincy for the T20 series. This is not the first time that Surya will be captaining the Indian team. He took over the captaincy in the series against Australia and then South Africa last year. India won the series against Australia 4-1, while the series against Africa was tied 1-1. Now Surya has told the mantra of his successful captaincy.
Star Sports has shared a video of 2023, in which Suryakumar Yadav, while explaining the mantra of good captaincy, said, “I am enjoying this new role. I enjoy spending time with everyone and we have played a lot with each other either in franchise or state level cricket. So it will not be very difficult to understand their strengths and weaknesses.”

Mantra of good captaincy
Suryakumar Yadav, while explaining the mantra of good captaincy, said, “We have to take the circumstances normally. I like to follow the process and do things in a normal way and I ask the fellow players to do the same. I believe that doing something different will not benefit us.”
Suryakumar Yadav will be captain in 3 T20 matches
India will play the first T20 match against Sri Lanka on July 27. The second match will be played on July 28 and the third and last match of the series will be played on July 30. Shubman Gill has been made the vice-captain in this series. Although the series against South Africa was left on a draw, Team India has not lost any series under Surya’s captaincy yet. This time too, he would like to maintain his excellent rhythm.
