Australia batted with a lot more intent on Day 1 of the 2nd Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Thanks to Mohammad Shami, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin, who picked 4 wickets, 4 wickets, and 3 wickets respectively and stopped Australia, who were once looking to touch the 300-run mark easily, at a total of 263 runs.

On a lighter note, there was a certain comment from the former Indian captain Virat Kohli during the 64th over of Australia’s innings that went viral on social media. The comment was captured on stump mic, which clearly implied that Jadeja now has a new name in the Indian dressing room which is ‘Pathaan’.

In the video, Kohli can be clearly be seen shouting, “Chal Pathaan. Shabaash. Chal Pathaan out karke de”.

    Here is the video:

So why is he being called ‘Pathaan’?

It could either be for his hairstyle, which resembles that of the character portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan in the movie ‘Pathaan’, or could be for the viral video of his dance moves to the song ‘Jhoome jo Pathan’, from the same movie, during the first Test against Australia.
