PCB Chairman Najam Sethi has said on Sports Tak that his team has mailed Jay Shah quite a few times to discuss the Asia Cup 2023 and the future of India and Pakistan cricket. However, BCCI secretary Jay Shah has not responded to them.
While talking to Sports Tak, the newly elected PCB Chairman Najam Sethi said, “we mailed Jay Shah a few times to meet him and discuss, but there was no response from their side.” This hints that the Board of Cricket Council of India does not want to discuss anything in regard to Asia Cup 2023 with Pakistan.
Before Najam Sethi was appointed as PCB Chairman, the former Chairman Ramiz Raja had said that Pakistan would not shift the Asia Cup 2023 to a neutral venue. If India does not play in the Asia Cup 2023, then Pakistan will boycott the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023, which is scheduled to take place in India.
The tussle between BCCI and PCB continues, and the fans are wondering if they will be able to watch a classic India vs Pakistan clash in 2023.
