Who is Ayush Badoni? All You Need To Know About The New Sensation.

Ayush Badoni, the new sensation in the IPL has taken the cricket world by storm with his extremely impressive batting style under pressure. The 22-year-old young Delhi boy accumulated all the appreciation with his half-century against Gujarat Titans in his debut IPL game on 28 March.

Who is Ayush Badoni?

Ayush Badoni plays for Delhi in domestic cricket, however, he has always been deprived of opportunities to showcase his talent. The promising all-rounder can swing his arms too for bowling in the middle overs.

Ayush Badoni first came into the limelight during his U-19 days when he was selected for Team India for the 2018 Junior Asia Cup where he delivered a plethora of impactful innings. He accumulated 65 against Afghanistan, 28 against Bangladesh and 52* against Sri Lanka. However, the newbie couldn’t prove consistency and wasn’t selected for the India U-19 team for the 2020 World Cup where Priyam Garg led the side.

Even Ayush Badoni’s home state Delhi gave up on him after picking him up for the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy in the 2020-2021 season. The batter was included for 5 matches although could get only 1 opportunity to bat among those.

Ayush Badoni without any impressive stats made it into the IPL auction pool where Lucknow Super Giants roped him in for his base price of 20 Lakh Rupees. Lucknow Super Giants scouts and Gautam Gambhir have provided a new 360 degrees player for India. Do you think so?

With a couple of knocks in IPL 2022, Ayush Badoni has certainly proven his metal to everyone who doubted him. The player also garnered appreciation from his franchise captain KL Rahul – “Badoni, I’d seen a few videos, when you only get to see the good shots, but the way he has been batting is phenomenal. Strong, 360-degree player and a great find for India and could prove to be an asset in the limited-overs.”

Till now the player has scored 54(41) & 19(9) against Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings respectively and has maintained an astonishing strike rate above 140. Ayush Badoni is merely 22 years old and has a long career ahead of him. Now since he has captured the attention of the cricket fraternity, he will surely be on their potent radar.
