Lizaad Buyron Williams, born on 1 October 1993, is a South African cricketer who represents Northerns. He earned his international debut for South Africa in April 2021. Williams, a right-arm fast bowler, initially signed a rookie contract for the 2012–13 season based on his performances in List A cricket for Boland.
His cricket journey continued as he was included in various teams over the years. He was part of the Stellenbosch Monarchs’ squad for the inaugural season of the T20 Global League in August 2017, although the tournament was initially postponed and eventually canceled.
In June 2018, Williams found a place in the Cape Cobras’ squad for the 2018–19 season, showcasing his versatility. He also featured in Boland’s squad for the 2018 Africa T20 Cup and joined the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants for the first Mzansi Super League T20 tournament in October 2018. He continued to be a part of various squads, including the Jozi Stars in the 2019 Mzansi Super League and Boland’s team for the 2019–20 CSA Provincial T20 Cup.

Williams’ breakthrough at the international level came in March 2021 when he was named in South Africa’s limited-overs squads for their series against Pakistan. He made his T20I debut against Pakistan in April 2021, and later that month, he joined Northerns’ squad for the 2021–22 South African cricket season. In May 2021, Williams was selected for South Africa’s Test squad for their series against the West Indies and made his ODI debut against Ireland in July 2021, impressively taking a wicket with his first delivery.
He continued to be in the national cricket spotlight, being named one of the reserve players for South Africa’s squad in the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. In March 2022, he was once again chosen, this time for South Africa’s Test squad for their series against Bangladesh, and made his Test debut in March 2022 against Bangladesh, securing his first Test wicket.
