She is going to become the first woman to host a premier league auction. Mallika Dua has earlier worked as an auctioneer for various art auctions. She recently revealed that she received an email from Hugh Edmeades, who has worked as an auctioneer for Men’s IPL Auctions. He offered to help her, and she revealed that she watched the videos of Hugh conducting IPL Auctions to get an idea about the same. Mallika Sagar is not a big cricket fanatic but her family has been an avid follower of cricket in India for quite a period now.
Who is Mallika Sagar, the WPL Auction 2023 Auctioneer?
Mallika Sagar is a Mumbai-based art collector and consultant for Modern and Contemporary Indian art, as well as a partner in the Art India Consultants organisation. Mallika is an experienced auctioneer at Pundoles in Mumbai who recently performed the 2021 Pro Kabaddi League auctions. She is not new to the world of sports auctions.

What are the Educational Qualifications of Mallika Sagar?
Mallika Sagar studied at Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia for her Masters in History. She became the first woman auctioneer of Indian Origin at Christie’s in 2001.

WPL Auction 2023 Details, Which is Going to be Conducted by Mallika Sagar
On Monday, February 13, in Mumbai, the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 Auction conducted by Mallika Sagar, involving 409 players, will take place. The BCCI previously said it had received 1525 registrations, of which 246 Indians and 163 foreign players had been selected. Among the 24 players who have listed themselves at the highest base price of 50 lakhs, there are 14 cricketers from abroad and 10 from India. Among those with the highest starting salaries are Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma, Shafali Verma, Alyssa Healy, Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, Sophie Ecclestone, and Deandra Dottin. The victorious Indian U-19 T20 World Cup team has participants in the auction as well. The five franchises would also split a 12 crore budget.
