Who is Monank Patel? The Fearless USA Captain who will be up against Rohit Sharma and Company

The Indian team now has to play the next match against the host nation USA. This is the same team that defeated the Pakistani team in the Super Over.

The USA team has been successful in performing brilliantly in home conditions and has won all their matches played they so far. The match between the USA team and the Indian team will be played on June 12. Once again this match is to be played at the same Nassau County Cricket Ground, where the match between India and Pakistan took place. This will be the third match of the Indian team in this stadium and USA team will be captained by an Indian.

When the toss of the match between India and USA will take place, a different view will be seen on the field. Two Indians will be on the field to toss the two teams. Captain Rohit Sharma will go from the Indian team and another Indian Monank Patel will be on the field from the opposition team.  Monank Patel comes from Anand, Gujarat. He was born on 1 May 1993. He has been playing for the US team since 2018. He is known as a top order batsman. Before going to the US, he played for Gujarat in Under 16 and Under 18. After this, he got a green card and he moved to the US in 2016 to open a restaurant.

Monank Patel has played cricket for the US in both formats of white ball cricket. In ODI cricket, he has scored 1446 runs by playing 47 matches. During this, he has scored 10 fifties and 2 centuries with his bat. In T20 International cricket, he has played 27 matches and scored a total of 507 runs. He got an important responsibility from the USA team during the T20 World Cup. After being sent as the captain of the team, Monank also did not disappoint. US created history by defeating a big team like Pakistan for the first time and with this victory, Monank’s name has been recorded in the pages of history forever.
