Jurel entered the Twenty20 arena on January 10, 2021, for Uttar Pradesh in the 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Before this debut, he served as the vice-captain for India’s squad in the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
In February 2022, Rajasthan Royals secured Jurel in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League. His first-class debut occurred on February 17, 2022, for Uttar Pradesh in the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy.
