Mitchell Starc is finally ready to rumble in the IPL after years of absence from the tournament. The Australian left arm pacer known for his searing swinging Yorkers back in the day is finally ready to play the biggest T20 league of the world in order to prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
The Australian captain, Pat Cummins is also in the auction this season after missing the previous edition in order to focus on the Ashes and World Cup. Both him and his buddy Starc have set a base price of Rs 2 Crore which is quite valid for the players of their stature. However, it seems that IPL franchises have lost interest in these veterans.

Both Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins were nothing special in the T20 World Cup 2022. There recent T20 performances have shown that they leak runs at a rapid pace and do not have that x factor anymore when it comes to T20 bowling. Cummins has always been expensive with the ball in the previous seasons of IPL while Starc is not the same anymore and is probably going through the last leg of his career.
IPL franchises would be more interested in buying players like Gerald Coetzee who can bowl Yorkers at 150 km/ph. Both Starc and Cummins have passed their prime in the T20 format and we do not expect them to get a bid in eight digits during the auction.
