After getting the approval of the budget for Champions Trophy 2025 from the International Cricket Council (ICC), PCB has started planning ahead for this tournament. PCB has already decided on the venue and group of this ICC tournament.

Pakistan Board has also prepared the schedule for the Champions Trophy. Now preparations have also started for the opening and closing ceremony of the 2025 Champions Trophy. However, although the PCB has started preparations for the opening and closing ceremonies and has also selected the venue for it, it is still waiting for the approval of the ICC.

According to Pakistan’s Geo News, if the ICC gives the green signal that this event will be held entirely in Pakistan, then the opening ceremony will be held at the National Stadium in Karachi and the closing ceremony will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Well there is still not any confirmation regarding the participation of team India.

PCB has prepared the schedule

PCB has submitted the schedule of the 2025 Champions Trophy to the ICC. A total of 8 teams including India and Pakistan will participate in this tournament and both teams will clash at the end of the group stage. According to the draft schedule, the 2025 Champions Trophy will be held between February 19 and March 9. However, the final decision on this is yet to be taken.

PCB has prepared two groups

The PCB has divided the eight teams of the Champions Trophy into two groups. Apart from India and Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand are in Group A. Group B has Afghanistan, Australia, England and South Africa. The top 2 teams from each group will play in the Super 4. The top 2 teams from the Super 4 will qualify for the final.
