Oman has named a provisional 17-man squad for the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe in June, which will be reduced to 15 after a preparatory camp.
Veteran cricketer Zeeshan Maqsood will captain Oman in the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier next month, with Aqib Ilyas named as his deputy.
There are two uncapped players in the squad: leg spinner Samay Shrivastav and all-rounder Rafiullah. According to an Oman Cricket statement, one of the wicketkeepers, Naseem Khushi, Suraj Kumar, and Adeel Shafique, will miss out on the final 15.
