In the early hours of Tuesday, May 23, a few Team India members left for London for the World Test Championship (WTC). The Indian contingent is expected to depart in batches, with the first group of 20 people, primarily coaching staff including Rahul Dravid, already on their way to England.

According to Cricbuzz, the entire squad will arrive in England on May 30, two days after the final of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL).

Players who did not advance to the IPL 2023 playoffs will be among the first to report to England, which is understandable. Axar Patel, Mohammed Siraj, and Shardul Thakur were among those who boarded the first flight to England on Tuesday morning.

The first batch reportedly includes some net bowlers, including Akash Deep and Pulkit Narang. Other net bowlers, such as Aniket Choudhary and Prithvi Raj Yarra, will arrive in England soon to help the team prepare.

Senior players such as Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin are expected to be among those leaving India on Wednesday, May 24.

According to the report, the initial plan was to fly the first batch out immediately after the IPL league stage concluded on Sunday, May 21. The players, on the other hand, requested some time off before leaving.
