World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 Final is scheduled to be played between India and Australia at The Oval from 7th June 2023. A few Indian players including Shardul Thakur and Virat Kohli have already left for England to prepare for the WTC Final.

Ravichandran Ashwin is expected to soon join the Indian team in England to prepare for the WTC Final. However, the recent reports are claiming that India will go with Shardul Thakur in the Final due to his fast bowling. The Oval is expected to favour the seamers and Shardul Thakur can prove to be a handy fast bowling all-rounder for India in the WTC 2023 Final.

Former Indian coach Ravi Shastri has called for the inclusion of both Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in India’s XI for the World Test Championship Final. According to him, the pitch at The Oval will surely offer some assistance to the spinners and Ashwin and Jadeja can prove to be handy at the track.
