Rohit Sharma and in-form Shubman Gill are likely to be India’s primary openers for the WTC final. KL Rahul is unlikely to be picked as an opener due to his bad form.
2. Middle Order: Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, & Ajinkya Rahane
Team India will be going with the same number 3 and 4 in the form of Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli respectively. Ajinkya Rahane, who has been added to the Test squad as a replacement for injured Shreyas Iyer, will take the number 5 spot as he has been in brilliant form in the domestic circuit as well as in the IPL.

KS Bharat is likely to do wicket keeping despite his poor show in the Test Series against Australia. Bharat showed excellent wicket keeping skills in the Test Series.

4. Fast Bowling All-rounder: Shardul Thakur
Shardul Thakur is India’s go-to fast bowling all-rounder in Test Cricket. He will surely feature in the playing 11 due to his impressive stats in England.
5. Spin Bowling All-rounder: Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin
