WTC Final 2023: India’s Best Predicted Playing 11 For The World Test Championship (WTC) Final

India's Most Probable Playing 11 For The WTC Final.

Team India qualified for the World Test Championship final for the second successive time and will take on Australia in the final at the Oval in London from June 7 to 11. This will be the first time in 20 years when India will face Australia in the Final of an ICC men’s event.

INDIA SQUAD FOR WTC FINAL:

Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, K L Rahul, KS Bharat (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat.

Here’s Is India’s Best Predicted Playing 11 For The World Test Championship (WTC) Final:

1. Openers: Rohit Sharma & Shubman Gill

Rohit Sharma and in-form Shubman Gill are likely to be India’s primary openers for the WTC final. KL Rahul is unlikely to be picked as an opener due to his bad form.

2. Middle Order: Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, & Ajinkya Rahane

Team India will be going with the same number 3 and 4 in the form of Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli respectively. Ajinkya Rahane, who has been added to the Test squad as a replacement for injured Shreyas Iyer, will take the number 5 spot as he has been in brilliant form in the domestic circuit as well as in the IPL.

3. Wicketkeeper: KS Bharat

KS Bharat is likely to do wicket keeping despite his poor show in the Test Series against Australia. Bharat showed excellent wicket keeping skills in the Test Series.

4. Fast Bowling All-rounder: Shardul Thakur

Shardul Thakur is India’s go-to fast bowling all-rounder in Test Cricket. He will surely feature in the playing 11 due to his impressive stats in England.

5. Spin Bowling All-rounder: Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin

The track of the Oval supports spinners. Hence, Team India is likely to go with both Jadeja and Ashwin. Ashwin could prove to be beneficial against Australia’s batting department which contains as many as four left-hand batsmen.

6. Fast Bowlers: Mohammad Siraj, & Mohammad Shami

In absence of Jasprit Bumrah, Team India is likely to go with their best pace attack in the form of Mohammad Siraj, and Mohammad Shami.
