During the World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and Australia, India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, showcased his frustration as the Indian bowlers struggled to make an impact on the first day of the match. Sharma’s visible annoyance was evident as he waved his hand in frustration and engaged in an irritated conversation with one of his teammates.
The highly anticipated match took place at the Kennington Oval in London on June 7, with India winning the toss and electing to field in overcast conditions.
Although India achieved an early breakthrough with Mohammed Siraj dismissing Usman Khawaja for a duck, David Warner’s solid knock of 43 runs bolstered Australia’s innings. Furthermore, an aggressive half-century by Travis Head propelled Australia to a score of 170/3 at tea on the opening day.

During the 39th over, Rohit Sharma’s displeasure was evident as Ravindra Jadeja prepared to bowl. He expressed his frustration, uttering, “Kya yaar tum log” (What are you guys doing), accompanied by a common Hindi expletive and hand gestures, illustrating his dissatisfaction.
In terms of the overall match progress, Warner was caught down leg off Shardul Thakur’s delivery just before the end of the first session. In the second session, Mohammed Shami bowled a magnificent delivery to dismiss Marnus Labuschagne. However, Travis Head and Steve Smith’s partnership propelled Australia’s score to 327 for 3 on Day 1.
