Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, has underlined the immense value of winning the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final, emphasizing that Test cricket represents the pinnacle of the sport.
As India prepares to face Australia in the WTC Final at The Oval from June 7th to 11th, Rohit Sharma acknowledges the unparalleled challenges posed by Test cricket. Despite its demanding nature, he remains steadfast in his commitment to guide India to victory in all formats of the game, including ICC tournaments. Rohit Sharma has already led India to triumph in various contests, including the 2018 Asia Cup.
“Test cricket is the ultimate format, the most challenging format, and winning the WTC Final would hold immense significance for us. I aspire to lead this Indian team forward and secure 1-2 ICC titles,” Rohit Sharma expressed during the pre-match press conference.

India earned their place in the WTC Final after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Australia in the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

The highly anticipated championship match will take place at The Oval in London on Wednesday, June 7th, with Rohit Sharma leading India and Pat Cummins captaining Australia.
