Australia has strengthened their position in the World Test Championship (WTC 2023) final against India at The Oval. With a lead of 296 runs, Australia ended Day 3 at 123 for 4 in the second innings. It is highly likely that India will have to chase a total of more than 400 runs, possibly even surpassing the 500-run mark. There are two days remaining in the match, so India will need to perform exceptionally well in the upcoming six full sessions. However, it remains uncertain whether we will witness the completion of all six sessions in the remaining two days of the game.
The upcoming days of the match may be affected by unfavorable weather conditions in London. According to Accuweather, there are chances of intermittent rain on both remaining days. On Day 4 (June 10), the likelihood of rain is lower between 9 am and 1 pm, which coincides with the first session of the day. However, the rain prediction increases to 41 percent at 2 pm and reaches 51 percent by 3 pm. Unfavorable weather is expected to persist until 11 pm that night.

Furthermore, the UK Met Department has issued a Yellow warning for Thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday, from 12 noon to 9 pm local time. This raises concerns about the Test match potentially being washed out. However, the ICC has made provisions by keeping a reserve day in case a significant portion of the remaining match is affected by weather-related interruptions.
