The Junior Cricket Committee has unveiled the India A squad for the upcoming Asian Cricket Council Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023, with Yash Dhull leading the team as captain. Dhull, who previously captained India’s Under-19 World Cup-winning team, has displayed immense potential in his career and now has the opportunity to lead the India A side.
The tournament is set to take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from July 13 to July 23, featuring eight Asian nations competing in a 50-over format. Alongside Dhull, the squad includes promising players like Rajvardhan Hangargekar, who was a part of the victorious Chennai Super Kings team in the IPL 2023. Akash Singh, a left-arm pacer who also represented Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023, has also been selected.
The squad boasts two skilled wicket-keepers, Prabhsimran Singh and Dhruv Jurel, known for their excellent abilities behind the stumps.

India A has been placed in Group B for the tournament, alongside Nepal, UAE A, and Pakistan A. Group A comprises Sri Lanka A, Bangladesh A, Afghanistan A, and Oman A. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
On July 21, the first semi-final will witness the leader of Group A competing against the second-placed team from Group B. The second semi-final will feature the leader of Group B facing off against the second-placed team from Group A. The highly anticipated final is scheduled for July 23, where the champion of the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 will be crowned.
