Yashasvi Jaiswal, born on December 28, 2001, is an Indian cricketer representing the national team. He marked his international debut during the first Test against the West Indies in July 2023, impressively achieving a century in his inaugural Test innings. Within the domestic circuit, he represents Mumbai and plays for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Notably, in 2019, he set a record as the youngest cricketer to achieve a double century in List A cricket. Additionally, during the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, he emerged as the highest run-scorer for the Indian under-19 team.
India is currently playing a five match Test Series against England. The left handed opening batter, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant 80 off just 74 balls in the first innings of the first Test match. Despite that, India lost the game and will look to take the revenge at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam from 2nd February 2024 in the second Test match of the series.

Yashasvi Jaiswal received his first call-up to India’s Test cricket squad in June 2023 for the series against the West Indies. Yashasvi Jaiswal Youth and Senior Career
Yashasvi Jaiswal rose to prominence in 2015 after an outstanding performance in a Giles Shield match, where he scored an unbeaten 319 runs and took 13 wickets for 99 runs, setting an all-round record in Indian schools cricket. This led to his selection in the Mumbai under-16 squad and subsequently in the India national under-19 cricket team. In 2018, he showcased his talent by emerging as the highest run-scorer with 318 runs and earning the Player of the Tournament award at the Under-19 Asia Cup, which India won.
In 2019, Jaiswal continued to impress, scoring 173 runs against South Africa under-19s in a Youth Test match. He also performed well in the under-19 tri-series in England, accumulating 294 runs in seven matches, including four half-centuries. He was then named in India’s squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where he excelled as the leading run-scorer, including a century against Pakistan under-19s in the semi-final.
Jaiswal made his mark in senior cricket by debuting for Mumbai in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy and later in List A cricket during the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He made history by becoming the youngest double centurion in List A cricket at 17 years and 292 days, scoring 203 runs from 154 balls in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Jharkhand. He also impressed during the tournament as one of the top five run-scorers.
In the 2020 IPL auction, he was signed by the Rajasthan Royals and made his Twenty20 cricket debut for the team in September 2020.
